Guess the Artist to the Song - A Game

I never use this so I figured why not see if I can get a game going. This is going to be strictly by a fragment of the lyrics. You have to name the Song title & Artist to get it right. This is going to be on the honor system, so no cheating. Besides its not like there is a prize for it, so there is no reason to cheat. Feel free to add some in the comments and other people viewing and myself can try to guess the answer. A new song will be added when the previous one was correctly guessed.

11 is a UK grindcore band and its from a band that changed their style a bit later on. 12 is an American punk band. 12 also isn't what you'd expect music-wise as its slow. The only hint I'll give on 12 is that it was written for Dave Vanian of The Damned, but the writer couldn't hook up a recording time with him.

Dead Kennedys and the Misfits, huh? Misfits are dark, so they must be 5...but I am unfamiliar with it...That leaves Dead Kennedys for 7, but alas, i suck...I knew 6 wasn't More Beer, but that was the only Fear title I could think of...and my clip, did you know it?

Song 6 is FEAR, but not More Beer. Its from the first album "The Record". The other two are by two of the most famous hardcore punk bands that aren't Black Flag, Bad Brains, Minor Threat or Circle Jerks. Think DKs & Mfts.

Erin, you would be correct. I kinda cheated & gave the title away as it is in the last 2 words of the chorus segment. Yes, I do know some country, but mostly old stuff like outlaw country & stuff from the 50s-early 80s. I always heard the old country when around my grandparents. I despise modern country, only the old stuff & non-mainstream stuff has any sort of interest for me. You should check out Hank Williams III. He looks & sounds like his grandfather, but has also played in metal bands. He does country sets followed by punk sets when he plays shows. He was also the bassist in Superjoint Ritual, which was the band of Pantera's vocalist Phil Anselmo.

Both Erin and me have no idea whatsoever. We're not too tuned into the early 90s. Erin mostly likes the old country stuff and I like instrumentals.

Good to have you attempt it Shanti. I think this one can stump both of you. Its from the early-mid 90s & is a hard rock song. Those are the only hints I will give.

I had to cheat, I never heard the song before. I've never been a fan of Neil Young. This is a stumper for you most likely. This is from one of my all time favorite bands. The album is also a legendary one to have sex to. Seriously, its just good sex music.

Erin, since you are the only person who attempted or cared I will give you the answer since I like you. The answer is: Black Flag - Damaged II.

It is one of my all time favorite songs. They wrote about alienation, depression, marginalization, paranoia & anger like no other band. The version of the song is the version from the album Damaged with Henry Rollins on vocals. I am specifying that because the demo has Dez Cadena on vocals, which I do love very much but it isn't the version I was listening to when I wrote this post.

Erin, now you have to do the same for me. Post lyrics from a song, but do not tell me the artist or song title. It can be anything.
