How do I add pictures to my about me page

Does anyone one know how to add pictures or gif files to the about me page like you see on a lot of profiles on xhamster. I cant figure it out and it wont work with a couple image hosting sites I tried. Any help would be great thanks!

when i added a pic to my "about me" area, its shifted my profile so that part of it is not visible. any1 know how to fix this?
