Why are they afraid?

With virtually no cases of voter fraud in our country ( less than .5%, not saying there isn't any), why are Republicans afraid of mail in voting? What's to be afraid of? Losing an election? So what. In 4 years you can vote again.

Bukkakeslutsforever : I agree with that. Politics should not be polarized and partisan as they are today. The Maverick was outspoken about repealing the Affordable Healthcare Act, and in the end was the final vote that kept it as the law of the land.Truly mind bending.  Never underestimate the power of hate, and the damage it can do.

Bukkakeslutsforever : Yeah, I did like the Maverick. To bad he went with Palin. It was almost like they wanted to loose. He jumped the shark for me when his hatred for Trump impelled him to stay in office with stage four brain cancer to damage the President's agenda no matter what. He represented himself and his views in the end. Not the will of his voters

The only form of voter suppression is not showing up to vote. Anyone can request an absentee ballot. Many people do as a fail safe, then surrender the ballot and vote in person instead.  This is the best possible way to insure you vote is correctly tabulated. Yeah just send out hundreds of millions of ballots. The government is still paying dead people stimulus money , social security and sending them ballots year after year. What could possibly go wrong ? I My mail carrier is great.....usually. Do I know what his politics are? He sees all my mail and knows more about me than i do him. May he have a conflict of interest due to his salary, benifits, retirement and pention.  How does he vote? Think about it.

lqqkin1 : And I can say the same about Republicans. I may be a Democrat, but other than my very first election, because I was young and didn't know any better, I have never voted straight party ticket. Many times I liked what the Republican candidate stood for verses what the Dem did. Hell, I miss John McCain because he spoke up against not only the Dem side, but told off his Repub colleagues.

Bukkakeslutsforever : Glad you agree. Most people regardless of party affiliation who I talk with support voter ID laws. It is the Democrat party leadership who opposes this. What I find interesting is how lock step the democrats are on almost all issues, no mater what state or district the represent. How is it possible to represent your constituency when you tow the party line 100 percent. how is it possible that voters in California want the same exact policy as voters in south Florida? Or voters in Minnesota and Seattle? Or Chicago and Arizona? or Manhattan and Westchester NY.  The Democrats represent the party, not their voters in the district they are supposedly representing. They are unified, I will give them that. I am not a registered Republican. They have not shown me a reason to get behind them. They get nothing done and will always cave and disappoint, so i stay NPA. It is almost like the Democrats are the Harlem Globetrotters, and the Republicans are the opposing team just there to loose and put on a good show.

Democrats are the only party that have always opposed voter ID. Unless you know you will be out of your voting district on election day, handicapped or request an absentee ballot voting by mail is rife for fraud. Ballot harvesting should be banned and harvested ballots signatures many times do not match the signature on file. Obviously plenty of damage can be done in 4 years, or 8 for that matter. Show up and vote in person with ID. If  it is not important enough for a voter to show up for their civic duty, then they should not be voting. Ever here the expression "skin in the game"? I think we have too many holidays while the rest of the county still has to work 24/7 to keep things running but election day should be a nationally embraced holiday for all. By the way, how much damage has been done in 4 years simply by one party and a complicit media not accepting the results of an election, while they continually undermine the integrity of the electoral process leading up to the next election. Evil exists. Save America and our Constitution. Support voter ID laws. Ban motor voter laws that  allow undocumented individuals to obtain drivers licences that automatically register them to vote. If you can't take the time to register to vote, again you should not be voting. What  a surprise, democrats put these laws in place under the guise of protecting the public safety, when it was just a ruse to obtain more votes for individuals who did not respect are laws to begin with, yet we should allow them to vote and do not know to what country  they have allegiance  to. Again "skin in the game" famously once said by Obama

Part of it is that the democrats have a long and proud tradition of cheating and corruption.
Vote early and often.

Our military has been voting by mail for about 100 years as I did during that little unpleasantness in South East Asia.
